Through using our programmatic efforts to preserve, identify and promote jazz as a tradition. We support the tradition of emerging jazz artist as a valuable cultural and artistic resource. We at A Jazz Mission Sanctuary Foundation are part of a continual movement in art and culture. Thus our motto,“ Ensuring Tomorrow Forever, Today!” ™
AJMSF provides a platform for rehearsal space, coaching, mentoring, guardianship, and healing. Within these walls, the true self can emerge in a peaceful mental state of consciousness. The open-hearted musician, “songbird”, can tap into their self-worth and experience self-realization with the mindful commitment and support in our sanctuary environment.
Thousands of naturally gifted singers exist who remain in the shadows. Many of them are not able to refine their true unique talent. These gifted artists do not get the opportunity to share with the world in their own way. As a result, we as a society, lose out on the reciprocal healing vibration that only the heart recognizes.
The Ajmsfinc is a one of a kind entity – a jewel in our community to nurture its staff, and all participants through promoting interpersonal respect, peace and healing with the determination and encouragement of experiencing it for oneself in our meditative mentoring environment — a spiritual space where one’s voice can be heard.
A training venue for new artists with potential who would not have access to, or be able to afford innovative instruction to develop their unique jazz artistry.
Encourages emerging jazz artists, offers a space where many can create for performance. Provides opportunities that house concerts and venues, workshops, musical theater, and clinics that feature emerging artists.
